It was disappointing when I read about how a group of 13 Democratic Senators voted against Bernie Sanders supported Affordable Medications Import amendment a couple days ago. There is a lot of Washington money circulating around medical drugs and health care, and the suspicion of corruption is very high. It’s reported that Cory Booker alone has received $267,000 from pharmaceuticals as he led the democrats charge against this bill.
Below is a link to a Huffington Post article about how Dems killed off this proposal in the U.S. Senate. This is disappointing because I’m a Bernie supporter, and I would have hoped the democrats would have voted in favor of this amendment. The counter argument is to insure drug safety, and to play the hand, a second amendment was voted on specifically about drug import safety which was also turned down.
